Task

Etnie, a Scout from Blackdown, shows us how to make a stop motion film with a St Georges Day theme. You could use action figures, toys, models or construction kits such as Lego.

Stop Motion films are created by taking lots of pictures of a model that has been moved slightly each time. When the photos are stitched together and played quickly, it gives the appearance that the model is moving on its own.

It works best with a fixed background setting and the moving parts in the foreground. You will need a secure place to fix the camera to ensure it stays in the same place for each picture. We’d love to see your Stop Motion videos via Somerset Scouts Facebook page.
