Skills for Life

Over 4,000 members aged between 4 and 25 are taking part in the fun, challenge and adventure of Scouting in Somerset every day! 1,000 adult volunteers across our County help our youth members to shape their own adventure.

Welcome to Somerset Scouts

Two years after Scouting was suspended nationally, in the first Covid-19 lockdown, we are now enjoying the brighter weather of spring and the ability to resume our more typical Scouting activities.

To celebrate, we are launching –

The County Commissioner’s Challenge 2022

This is completely inclusive for all sections – from Squirrel Scouts to Network.  The County Commissioner’s Challenge is intended to inspire sections to work together and take part in activities which will encourage us as we bounce back from the effects of the pandemic, whilst considering some of the positive outcomes we have experienced in our communities during the last two years.  It’s youth shaped (select or design your own challenges to complete collectively) and focused around four main themes.  The best part is possibly the cool (and very large) new uniform badge, which can be worn by all participants.

You’ll find all the details HERE

Enjoy the Challenge, make new friends, learn something new and have fun!
