First Response / First Aid (10a only – Virtual Learning with Pre Learning)

Module 10A (First Aid Learning) aims to cover the knowledge necessary to enable members of The Scouts to provide basic first aid and ensure safe management of a first aid incident. By the end of the module participants will have had the opportunity to be:
- provided with simple first aid information which is relevant to their role,
- helped to build confidence and skills in coping with emergency and first aid situations,
- equipped with the knowledge needed to manage these emergencies.
This module requires participants to complete an eLearning module before attending the zoom session, this can be completed at any time prior to this course by clicking the following link https://hampshire-scouts.thinkific.com/courses/firstresponse. This part of the learning will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete.
The virtual learning is operated by Hampshire Scouts, please book through their portal here. This learning will also take approximately 2.5 hours.
Once you have completed the module with Hampshire Scouts you will receive a certificate of completion. This must be sent to adult-training@somersetscouts.org.uk so that it can be recorded.
When received, your learning will be recorded in your My Learning section of your Membership Records and you will find out about completion of the short practical element (Module 10b – First Aid Practical), which is completed in Somerset.
