Wildlife Yoga

This week, South West #ScoutingAtHome team are challenging your Scouts to participate in Wildlife Yoga. Please download the PDF for some ideas from the UK Wildlife Trust (as part of their 30 Days Wild campaign during June 2020).

Make sure everyone warms up and stretches properly beforehand and has enough space to move around in safely.

Once your Troop has attempted all the yoga moves described, maybe each Scout could think up a new ‘position’, which depicts another animal. Ask them to demonstrate and let others guess the animal before joining in! You could even try setting categories of animal (eg: reptile / flying / extinct….) to stretch imaginations further.

This could be done during a Zoom meeting. We’d love to see and hear about your results via

or by email to scoutingathome@somersetscouts.org.uk

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
