As we start to plan and hold our Annual General Meetings, you may be approaching and engaging some new members to join your Executive Committee.
Executive Members are Trustees and are required to complete mandatory training within 5 months of accepting the appointment. The training reflects the commitment that they are making and the responsibilities that go with the appointment. New Executive Members also need their appointment to be entered on Compass.
The training consists of five elements all of which are completed on-line and each taking about 35 – 40 minutes. At the end of each is a short self assessment which then generates a certificate. These should be recorded on Compass as soon as possible by the Group Scout Leader, District Commissioner or District Explorer Scout Commissioner as appropriate. You can also send your certificates to your Local Training Manager.
