Project Kenya 2021

Project Kenya 2021 is an amazing opportunity to be part of a large group of Explorers, Network and Adult members who will go to volunteer with underprivileged young people in the developing country of Kenya.

The trip, is planned to take place at the beginning of August 2021, led by Scout Leaders that were part of the very successful trip  Project Kenya 2019. This new opportunity is open to members of Somerset Scouting who will be aged 14 years and above by 1st August 2021. Interested adult volunteers are also encouraged to join the small support team.

The trip is run in association with Younique Travel Adventures, who have once again agreed to take our working party to Nakuru, Kenya.

Participants will need to fundraise to pay for their trip and advice on how to do this will be offered.

Low-level maintenance work on school buildings (e.g. painting & digging etc), creative and fun activities that engage the children in singing and playing will be all be part of this once in a lifetime opportunity.

In return for your hard work in making a difference, you will get the amazing opportunity to go on a safari at Lake Nakuru, a visit to a volcano crater, and meet international connections.
